In the Grading System for Grades 1-4, students typically wear a white or light shirt, indicating they are just starting their Kung Fu training. During this foundational stage, you learn essential skills such as self-defense against grabs, pulls, and pushes. Additionally, you will practice how to strike effectively with punches and kicks, along with basic footwork and drills.
As part of your Wing Tsun training, you will also learn the first form, Siu Nim Tao, along with Chi Dan Sao (single-handed drills) and other cycles that will help you progress into more complex reflex training.
In the Grading System for Grades 5-8, you now have the basics to build into Chum Kiu, the second form of your Kung Fu training. This stage focuses on learning angles, kicks, footwork, and how to handle multiple attackers. You will begin practicing double-handed Chi Sao, where your arms are constantly sticking to your opponent. As you progress, sparring becomes more realistic, allowing you to effectively defend and counter in your Wing Tsun practice.
In our advanced Grading System for Kung Fu training, students in grades 9-12 work towards achieving their black belt. Here, you complete your first two forms with a focus on good structure, technique, and power. The third form, Biu Jee, is also introduced.
As part of your Wing Tsun training, you will learn Chi Sao sections, which test your knowledge and sensitivity. This includes sparring against skilled attackers and using weapons. Only through hard work and consistency can success in this journey be achieved.
In the Grading System for Grades 1-4, you perfect the Biu Jee form and its Chi Sao sections, enhancing your Kung Fu training. As your techniques improve, your repertoire of moves expands, and your ability to use them grows. At this stage, you can also begin to learn the wooden dummy and long pole forms in Wing Tsun.
Grades 5-8 are the final stages of the grading system in your Kung Fu training. During this time, you reflect on your techniques and refine everything. You complete the last Chi Sao sections from the Wooden Dummy, practice Chi Gerk (sticky legs), advance your footwork, and master the Baat Cham Do.
